Assualt & Violent Crimes Assault is the attempted unlawful and intentional touching of another
person, and includes the act of placing someone in fear of an intentional
touching. This is probably one of the most charged crimes in
Maryland, as it covers a range of conduct, from something as trivial
as an argument with a neighbor to something so serious as to involve
a weapon. There are other crimes covering abusive behavior,
such as stalking, harassment, and telephone misuse. |
